A few days after I published my post on Bench Bratsplash Hand Sanitizers, I saw a tweet announcing that Krispy Kreme now offers
Spring Doughnuts, fruity doughnuts with flavors like Kiwi lemon,
Raspberry Melon, Strawberry Blueberry, etc.
I felt I gotta post a review on Bench Bratsplash Strawberry Shake Cologne to round off my own fruit basket.
Sniffing the bottle, Bench Bratsplash Strawberry Shake Cologne is like a fizzy strawberry pop. Prolly because of the alcohol? When I spray it on, I get a really syrupy sweet strawberry scent. No sourness. No other notes. Just straightforward sweet strawberry through and through. This cologne also attracts bees(?) that hung around softdrink dispensers, a testament to how sweet it is.
Initially, the scent is quite strong. Some might even find it suffocating. Masangsang. Which is why I feel that this is not exactly a summer fragrance. (Though fruity and berry scents are considered as summer scents.) I feel it's better suited for, yes, spring. But we don't have spring where I am so cooler temperatures it is. Like maybe in an airconditioned room. Fortunately or unfortunately the strong smell dies down to barely there in three hours.
This body spray appeals to the younger set. A little girl once told me I smelled fragrant while I wore this. "Ang bango nyo" I believe was what she said. Barring smelling a tester or the product elsewhere, I could imagine girls picking this because of the pink canister. And a fondness of strawberries or berries.
I got my Bench Bratsplash Strawberry Shake Cologne stash when I used my Globe rewards points to purchase from a Bench store last year, last day of March 'coz that's when the points expire. Unlike Bench Daily Scents and Baby Bench Colognes, I have only seen Bench Bratsplashes in Bench stores and department stores. And as I have mentioned before, some stores tend to run out of Strawberry Shake hence the stashing when available.
Ingredients: ethyl alcohol, deionized water, fragrance, trichloromethyl phenyl carbinyl acetate, edta
Though its fragrance oil is from Grasse, France, Bench Bratsplash colognes are made in the Philippines. They are not tested on animals.
Aside from Raspberry Crush, Green Apple, Kiwi Frost and Strawberry Shake, other Bench Bratsplash Cologne variants are Cranberry Jam, Cherry Bomb and Blueberry Burst. I don't think the latter three have hand sanitizer counterparts. The style of their labels is different from the other four.
