Bench Bratsplash Hand Sanitizer Review

Sometime during the Christmas rush, I found myself at a Bench store looking for something that would fit the monito monita  theme of the week. At the counter, I noticed a sign stating that Bench Bratsplash Hand Sanitizer Gels (50 ml, no silicone/rubber holders) are at P20 a piece instead of P24 when you get 4. Naturally, I got a couple because savings and they'd make good giveaways.

There were three Bench Bratsplash Hand Sanitizer variants available at the store I was at that day: Raspberry Crush, Green Apple and Kiwi Frost. Missing was Strawberry Shake which I bet is the bestseller. These hand sanitizers have cologne counterparts and there have been times when I could not find Strawberry Shake Colognes, the Bench Bratsplash Cologne I've been buying, in stores. I can't compare how the hand sanitizers smell vs the colognes since I haven't tried their counterparts but according to my olfactory sense, these are how the three hand sanitizer variants smell:

Raspberry Crush smells like sweet raspberries. The scent is rather strong.

When I think of green apples, I think crisp, tart. Green Apple is more of a ripe red apple with powdery, floral tones.

Kiwi Frost is a not too sweet, not really sour kiwi. There's an initial green note, a faint citrus-y note aside from the kiwi and, I think, cucumber thrown into the mix.

Bench Bratsplash Hand Sanitizers' fragrance is not long lasting but if you were to splash some of it on your hands just before partaking a meal, you would definitely be able to smell it until the meal is through. It's not viscous enough to be a gel despite its full name so keep that cap closed.

Ingredients: ethyl alcohol, water, isopropyl alcohol, aloe barbidensis leaf extract, glycerin, propylene glycol, tetrahydroxypropyl ethylenediamine, fragrance, acrylates/c10-30 alkyl acrylate crosspolymer, triclosan, coloring.

Made in Philippines.

I'm not sure if Bench Bratsplash Hand Sanitizer Gels are still on promo by the time this post gets published. Even when they're not on promo, they're one of the more affordable hand sanitizers out there. Definitely better than those cheap yet fake BBW pocketbacs I've been seeing everywhere.

Edited 2/13/21: I have asked Bench Philippines on the alcohol content of their hand sanitizers. They have yet to reply. However they are in the lists of FDA-notified alcohol and hand sanitizers. Meaning, they have submitted necessary docs to the FDA.

Edited 3/5/21: FDA warnings have been issued for a couple of Bench Bratsplash Hand Sanitizer variants. Do a search on fda bench bratsplash on facebook and the pics with warnings from FDA will appear. For updates on this, check FDA on facebook.
