Those gift sets being sold at Watsons and the beauty section of SM department stores last Christmas? Are now being sold by as much as 70% off. Heard about it from the Beautyjunkee. So of course off we went to track those down.
Thanks to her we managed to score the following gift sets at 50% off.
Isn't it obvious we shopped hungry? But then, we're really suckers for beauty and bath products that smell like desserts and sweets.
The Cosmetofood Wash and Lotion gift set may not all be food given the Hawaiian Orchid but the scent spread should please diverse scent palates. This would be a good gift set to get if you're unsure what scent your recipient favors. Or if you want her to have options. You can also divvy up the contents among your friends if you have an inkling of what fragrance they like.
For the floral fairy, there's Hawaiian Orchid. A whiff of it reminds me of Sanggumay or Purple Rain Orchids. Sugary ones. Lemon Verbena is for the citrus chick/chap. It smells like Halls Honey Lemon. Sweet with no sharp edges. Not all out tart. The fruity princess can have the Japanese Cherry which reminds me of a cherry-flavored bubblegum.
Or you might wanna keep the lot after all.
The 50 ml bottle of Cosmetofood Wash can be consumed in four showers. A generous helping is needed to work up a lather. Skin feels slippery that I had to wash it extra thoroughly off. The scent permeates the bathroom while I took a bath. On my skin, the scent held on delicately for two hours after.
Same with the 40 ml Cosmetofood Lotion. Easily drunk by my skin, the subtle scent coated it for two hours tops. The lotion has a gel creamy consistency and felt light, neither greasy nor sticky on skin.
When we checked the stores at SM North last weekend, only the beauty section of the department store had a few gift sets left. Not necessarily the ones I have here. You guys might wanna hurry after the last pieces out there.
