An article from the Philippine Star listed the notes for the pack of 6 Bench Daily Scent minis, and each has a lot! (Couldn't find any note listings for Eye Candy, Beach Bum and Bubble Pop which are not in the trial pack )
- Lazy Afternoon (orange bottle) mandarin and bergamot top notes; rose and white floral middle notes; warm musk and woods base notes.
- Sunday Morning (blue bottle'): tangelo and spices top notes; exotic spices and soft cotton musk middle notes; vanilla and woods base notes.
- Indian Summer (yellow bottle): apricot, dewberry and cassis top notes; rose, freesia, lily and jasmine middle notes; amber, musk and woods base notes.
- Spring Break (yellow green bottle) lemon, magnolia and pear top notes; freesia, white lily, strawberry and lily of the valley middle notes; tonka bean, vanilla and musk base notes.
- Nine to Mine (violet bottle): tamarind, pineapple and melon top notes; rose, freesia and carnation middle notes; musk and sandalwood base notes.
- Happy Hour (the pink bottle included in the package of six as there are other Bench Daily Scent pink bottles; not in the pic): melon and pineapple top notes; jasmine and muguet flowers middle notes; vetiver and sandalwood base notes.
The names are certainly apt. Spring Break is a scent that evokes spring time. The floral notes are prominent in this one, particularly freesia. Kinda sweet powdery as well. Indian Summer is the loudest scent, very fruity. Lazy Afternoon's citruses are mellowed by its white floral notes, which my 8 yr old niece says are sampaguitas. (Galing 'no? She can already identify notes and this was on first sniff, not knowing the name of the cologne or the bottle color.) Sunday Morning for some reason reminds me of babies and fresh lampin. Not too floral, not too powdery and not citrusy at all. Sweet Nine to Mine is my sister's fave. It has the same vibe as the Paris Hilton perfume by Paris Hilton. Happy Hour reminds me of Davidoff Cool Water for Women minus the lemon note. Except for the Happy Hour, the other five are are unisex scents.
These six Bench Daily Scent are not mild smelling baby colognes. Though I don't get enough of the base notes either. They're largely fruity, floral second. They also share a note or more here and there, which is why sometimes wearing one reminds you of another. (Same notes are similarly colored above.)
Since Bench is a well known brand with the colognes available just about anywhere, it is highly likely that you will encounter someone who smells just like you when you go out. I'm pretty sure my neighbor wears Indian Summer on occasion.
Inspite of the strong smell of alcohol, Bench Daily Scent last longer than Baby Bench Colonia/Colognes. The scents generally stay for close to four hours but seem muffled in air-conditioned rooms. A little also goes a long way.
The bottle design of Bench fragrances have remained the same over the years, making it easier to hunt for preferred scents at stores. I would, however, like that they change the bottles for the Bench Daily Scent. I've had the unfortunate experience of having bottles leak in my bag. One incident had claimed half the bottle's contents. It was a fragrance bomb that lasted for weeks. My kikay kit still smelled faintly of the cologne (Spring Break) months later. Luckily none of my gadgets and papers got damaged. You may want to try tipping a bottle you're bringing with you to see if it will leak between the cap and the bottle. And take care not to jostle them as much. This is also something to consider when buying these online.
