We have been Nivea Sun users for years already. Anyone who has been using sunscreen / sunblock for that long would know that there were only a handful of them available in the early 2000. Often they were super pricey, sticky, or the smell was not school / office-friendly.
Nivea Sun has been our bet since then as the line was relatively affordable and did not have that strong coconut massage oil smell of another brand which either clashed with your perfume or made people think you visited a manghihilot right before work / school Yes, they were a tad sticky then. But things are different now.
For years, Nivea Sun has had sunscreen / sunblock for either face or body with either moisturizing or lightening properties. Now the line has an array of face creams and cooling mists (I think they were in light blue bottles in 2000s. There was a fat spray-on sunscreen too) as well.
- UV Face BB Cream SPF 50+ - tinted face sunscreen with the added benefits of a bb cream. Has vitamin E, Glycyrrhiza Inflata Root Extract (licorice) and Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane.
- UV Face Anti-Age & Anti-Pigments Cream SPF 50 - sunscreen for the face with aging and pigment combating properties. Has vitamin E, Glycyrrhiza Inflata Root Extract (licorice) and Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane.

- Protect & White Face Cream SPF 50 - Sunblock for the face with added lightening benefit. Special ingredients are Glycyrrhiza Glabra Root Extract (licorice) and titanium dioxide.
- Protect & Light Feel Cooling Mist Spray SPF50
- Protect & Refresh Cooling Mist SPF 50 - Contains vitamin E, Glycyrrhiza Infand Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane.
Nivea Sun has improved upon its consistency while remaining capable of protecting skin from sun/uv light damage, with proper use and application. I have related our experience with Nivea Sun in this 'gram post for which I've won the products above.
Covid-19 has brought about lifestyle changes. While some now work from home and may think it unnecessary to use sunscreen / sunblock because hey, it's called sunscreen / sunblock, it would still do well to put on some because "exposure to blue light can lead to different levels of damage in ... skin." Also for some, us included, walking and biking over taking public transport feels much safer since we're not in enclosed space. That also means sun exposure. So sunscreen / sunblock is a must if it's later than 9AM as we do want our early morning vitamin D.
Lockdown Tribute tip: The best time to run errands is right after noon when people avoid the outdoors because it's too hot. Just remember your umbrella and slather Nivea Sun.
Nivea Sun suki tip: the best time to purchase their products is just before summer vacation, around March, because they go on sale at half price. This has been going on for years already.
